The numbers

A coated machine is a cheaper machine to own

Cleaning is the cost everyone accepts and nobody measures. Coating attacks it at three points at once: wash-down labour, off-hire disputes, and residual value.

60%

less wash-down time

Mud, slurry and concrete dust release under low pressure instead of a two-man jet-wash session between sites.

15%

higher trade-in value*

On a £90k 20-tonne excavator that is roughly £13,500 of retained value against a one-day coating.

5 yr

UV and chemical resistance

Decals stay legible, paint stops chalking, and diesel, DEF and fertiliser wipe off instead of staining.

*Based on published manufacturer estimates for ceramic-coated agricultural machinery, not TerraShield's own trading data yet. Wash-down figure is from our own pilot machines.

Machinery we protect

1.5 tonne micro to 40 tonne tipper

How it works

FOUR STEPS, ONE VISIT, OUR GUARANTEE

01

Assess

Jobstimator photo quote or a site visit. Zones and number agreed before anything is booked.

02

Prep

Degrease, decontaminate and machine-polish the panels being coated. Most of the day is prep.

03

Coat

Industry-leading ceramic coating applied by hand, panel by panel, inspected under light as we go.

04

Cure & sign off

Short cure, walk-round with your fitter, wash guidance and warranty paperwork left on site.

Built for

Fleets first — one machine is a fine place to start

Plant hire fleets

Fewer off-hire damage arguments, faster turnaround between hires, and a residual value story your funder can see.

Per-unit rate from 5 machines

Farms & agri contractors

Fertiliser and slurry stop etching paint. Sprayers and tractors wash down in a fraction of the time between jobs.

Off-season booking rates

Groundworks & construction

Concrete splash and clay release instead of setting. Machines arrive on the next site looking like a serious outfit.

FAQ

The questions yards actually ask

Anything not covered, call 07350 237 205.

DO YOU NEED WATER AND POWER AT OUR YARD?

Yes. You supply the water and power at your yard. We supply the various treatments and polishing equipment. We can supply a generator and jet-washing equipment, but this is at extra cost. We need the machine stationary, accessible (ideally under cover, if possible) and an authorised contact at the start and end of the visit.

How long is the machine off the road?

Spot work is a half day, Working Zone is a day, Full Machine Shield is three to five days. Add a short cure period before the machine gets wet — we confirm the exact window before we leave.

Does it survive an actual site, not a car park?

The coating is a sacrificial hard layer, not paint protection film. It will not stop a rock strike. It does stop mud, concrete splash, fertiliser and UV from bonding to and dulling the paint.

What warranty do we get?

Two to five years depending on scope and machine use, subject to the wash guidance being followed. Fleet programmes carry the warranty across the units on the schedule.

Can you coat machines already three years old?

Yes, and it is where the biggest visual difference shows. Heavily oxidised paint may need correction first, which we quote separately after seeing the machine or a photo.

What does the pilot actually cost?

£550 for a working-zone scope that is normally £850–1,200 — materials and travel at cost, our application labour at half price. One machine per company, and we ask for before-and-after photos and an honest written comment in return.

Try it on one machine at half price

We coat one working zone on a machine of your choosing for £550 — half our standard labour rate on an £850+ job. You see it cured before deciding anything else.
